Why do we exist?

Denmark is portrayed as a welfare state, but the reality is quite different. Workers pay the price for the crises of capitalism through budget cuts, precarious working conditions, a rising retirement age, and a society where profit takes precedence over people’s needs.

The parties that claim to represent the working class today administer the very same capitalist state that oppresses the working class. They vote for military buildup, implement cutbacks, and tie the labor movement to the politics of the bourgeoisie.

The working class needs more than just another party. It needs a revolutionary vanguard party.

Why don’t we call ourselves a party?

New parties constantly emerge and disappear. A name does not make an organization revolutionary.

For Lenin, the Communist Party was not merely one organization among many. It was the vanguard of the working class: the most conscious and organized section of the class, leading the struggle for revolution and socialism.

Such a party cannot be proclaimed. It must be built through organization, political education, discipline, and a living connection to the struggles of the working class.

That is why the Communist Workers’ League is a pre-party organization. Our task is to create the necessary conditions for the establishment of a single Bolshevik Communist Party of the Leninist type in Denmark.

Our Task:

As stated in the union’s statues:

“The league is a pre-party organization, which means that its task is to build the necessary conditions for the establishment of a single communist party of the Leninist type—a Bolshevik revolutionary communist party.”

This task requires patient organizational work, ideological clarity, and organization among workers and young people.
